AI Use Disclosure
This website (teamnjord.us) was created by Team Njord to showcase our welding project for a class at Everett Community College (EvCC). In the interest of transparency, this page explains how artificial intelligence (AI) was used in making it.
How AI was used
The website’s code and technical setup were built with the help of an AI coding assistant (Anthropic’s Claude, used through Claude Code). This included scaffolding the Astro project, configuring the Cloudflare Workers deployment, and helping write and organize the site’s code and structure. Every AI-assisted change was directed, reviewed, and approved by members of Team Njord.
Our welding project is our own work
The welding designs, fabrication, and project work shown on this site are the original work of the Team Njord students. AI was used only as a tool to build the website that presents that work — it did not design, perform, or fabricate any of the welding itself.
Why we’re disclosing this
EvCC’s student conduct code defines plagiarism as “presenting or submitting another person’s, entity’s, and/or sources’ ideas, words, or other works in an instructional course without assigning proper credit,” and the college leaves the specific rules for AI use to each individual instructor. Disclosing our use of AI keeps this project honest and transparent, and makes clear that we are not presenting AI-assisted work as entirely our own.
Questions about this project or how it was built can be directed to Team Njord or our course instructor.
